HOSPITALITY AND FOODSERVICE GRANTS

APPLY FOR A GRANT

APPLICATION & PROCESS

The FCSI Educational Foundation offers hospitality and foodservice grants to FCSI regional divisions & Chapters (member continued professional development) and individuals who plan to pursue a long-standing career in foodservice consulting, or those who are conducting original research; the results to which would benefit the industry. PLEASE NOTE: The grant application process has been suspended until Q4 of 2024 while the Foundation focuses its resources on the new certificate program in foodservice consulting. 

If you meet either of the following criteria, you may be eligible to apply for a grant:

  1. A senior undergraduate or a graduate with hospitality or foodservice as your major
  2. A professional working full-time in the foodservice industry (minimum of 3 years industry experience)
  3. A graduate at an accredited hospitality school
  4. A faculty member at an accredited hospitality school

AMERICAS DIVISION FIRST TIME ATTENDEE SCHOLARSHIPS

The Educational Foundation provided funds to offset the cost of attendance for 21 first-time attendees for the 2018 FCSI Americas Division Conference in Denver. These funds were matched with sponsorship funds to provide this record number of first-time attendees with $1000 to use toward registration, travel and/or hotel accommodations.

EAME – Europe & Middle East

Rosemary Mugito took her background in hospitality and teaching and started her own consulting firmin early 2018. She reached out to FCSI for assistance with her new career path. The Foundation was able to provide her a scholarship to the FCSI Europe/Africa/Middle East conference in Rotterdam in October 2018.

“EAME conference was a real experience of food service and hospitality to me as a young consultant. I found mentors and partners that I believe will help Ariseshine17 Consulting Company that I registered in March 2018, grow in Kenya and Africa. It was a great opportunity to see consulting for hospitality industry in reality.”
